The Big Three

The Big Three were three gods: one death, the second water, and the king of all of Olympus, ZEUS. Zeus was the god of lightning. With the other two, the first one was named Hades, god of the Underworld. Then there was Poseidon, god of water. His Roman name was Neptune. Hades' Roman name was Pluto. The last one was named Jupiter.

These three gods were brothers. They didn't get along. Hades lived in the Underworld instead of on Olympus because he was the god of death and no one appreciated death. Zeus and Poseidon just got angry with each other. Poseidon's waves on the ocean got bigger and big strikes of lightning came down.

  1. I always get the Greek and Roman names confused!

I'm glad that you and YOUR brother get along better than these brothers did!
